A really short day from Manang to Yak Kharka for acclimatization reasons. Rooms are very cold and you stay as long as there is a fire in the dining room with the others.
Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedri High Camp. I had a soup in Thorung Phedri for lunch and decided to push my bike to the high camp, another 500m above at 4800m. Air is getting thin up there, but I had a good rest in my warm sleeping bag.
The "big day" via Thorung La Pass to Muktinath, which is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Muktinath to Marpha, the apple capital of Nepal. Dominating the village is the Nyingma monastery.
